Twelve to nine months out
Agree the budget, the length and the pace. Decide whether you want one place or two. This is also the moment to check passport expiry and any visa requirements, which quietly derail more honeymoons than weather does.
Nine to six months out
Confirm accommodation and flights, and secure the room category that matters. If you want an overwater villa on a specific date, this is the window.
Six weeks out
Finalize experiences, transfers, dining reservations and celebrations. Share your anniversary or occasion details with every property — recognition is almost always given when it is known in advance.
